So you probably already know that The Office won a 2nd SAG award for Best Ensemble. (Yay!) Here's a quote from a USA Today article.

"Others shared how they've been keeping busy. The Office's Ed Helms has spent his downtime 'sitting in my house, eating candy. I've been doing some picketing — and some Pilates.' His castmate John Krasinski understands that Thursdays are now bleak for TV viewers. 'You can blame me,' he said, adding that he's heading to New York for a while now that he's still not working."

Those red carpet interviews always come off as slightly awkward to me. This snippet doesn't sound so bad, but it seems like sarcasm is generally confusing in those red carpet videos and more so in print. I feel like the Pilates thing is a joke, but perhaps not?

Ed on His College Life

An oldie but a goodie. USNews interviewed him back in 2006 about his college experience. Take a look at it. There was a lot there that had never heard before -- the kind of stuff he doesn't get asked during interviews about The Office.

"I was on the swim team my freshman year. It was tough and consumed way too much time. I played an embarrassing amount of Frisbee and hacky sack. I played and sang in a really good bluegrass band called Weedkiller (three of us still play together). I was in Oberlin's chorus, which was incredible."

I can't help but notice that Andy's love of frolf might be semi autobiographical...but that's just speculation.

According to Variety, Ed Helms will be hitting the big screen again in an Eddie Murphy movie called Starship Dave. I have yet to find out a character name for Ed, but IMDB says that it's schedule to be released May 30th. The synopsis sounds a little crack pot...

"Starship Dave" is the story of a crew of miniature, human-looking aliens who are seeking a way to save their doomed world. Murphy will play the human spacecraft they travel in (Starship Dave) as well as the ship's captain."
